Born in Beirut, 1961. Received his M.D. degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, U.S.A. in 1986. Completed a residency training in General Surgery at the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Sub-specialized in Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgery at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio.
Returned to the George Washington University where he was appointed Assistant Professor of Surgery and Director of Endoscopic Surgery (1992-1995). He became American Board certified in Surgery (1993) and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (1995). Returned to Lebanon in October 1995 to assume the position of Medical Director at Trad Hospital, in addition to his own General and Laparoscopic Surgery practice.
Dr. Karim Trad is currently a Clinical Professor of Surgery at George Washington University and practices in the Washington, D.C. area (USA).
